Trey Flowers says thank you and goodbye to New England on Instagram

New England Patriots defensive end Trey Flowers issued his goodbye to the region and organization he enjoyed for four years.

After agreeing to terms on a contract with the Detroit Lions on Monday, Flowers took to Instagram to say goodbye.

Flowers helped the Patriots win two Super Bowls during his tenure in New England. A 2015 fourth round pick, Flowers didn’t play in his rookie season, but emerged as a major contributor in the years that followed, averaging seven sacks per season and taking a huge amount of snaps.

He will rejoin former Patriots defensive coordinator and current Detroit Lions coach Matt Patricia.
