Trey Flowers activated from PUP list

Lions fans have been anxious to see the team’s prized free agent signing in action. Now we finally get our wish: the team has activated defensive end Trey Flowers from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list.

The team announced Flowers’ activation on Saturday morning in a press release.

Flowers has been working with trainers during practice sessions and even running the new hill installed in Allen Park, but he has yet to go through practice with his new team. The Lions signed Flowers to a 5-year, $90 million contract to lure him from the New England Patriots and reunite him with coach Matt Patricia.

Activating Flowers was part of a series of roster moves, which includes signing QB Josh Johnson and placing WR Jermaine Kearse and DT Darius Kilgo on injured reserve.
