Jesse Lingard has been told his future should be in London with West Ham and not in France at Paris Saint-Germain.
Former Hammer Trevor Sinclair wants Lingard to return to the London Stadium next season to lead the Hammers on their Europa League adventure.
Lingard's impact at West Ham on loan from Manchester United was clear to see with the 28-year-old scoring nine goals and assisting four more in just 16 matches.
"Can I just say,” Sinclair told talkSPORT. "Jesse Lingard, get to the capital of England rather than the capital of France.
"You are loved at West Ham. Get yourself there, boy.”
The attacking-midfielder picked up the Player of the Month award for the Premier League in April, as well as the Goal of the Month for his wonder strike against Wolves.
It is performances like these that led to the Manchester United player becoming a Hammer's fan favourite during his loan spell.
Lingard's future is yet to be decided, with David Moyes keen for the England international to return to the Hammers.
However, Lingard has been linked with a move to the French capital with PSG, or alternatively to remain at Manchester United and fight for his place.
Moyes has made no secret of his desire for Lingard to make his transfer to West Ham permanent, with the Scot admitting as much in May.
"I hope Jesse is here [next season], we would like to keep him but there is no guarantee, he is not our player," he said.
"He has done an exceptional job for us on loan and we will see where we go from there."
West Ham coach Stuart Pearce put Lingard's fine form at the Hammers down to the players class and the hard work Moyes put in with the player on the training ground.
"He had an impact almost immediately," Pearce told talkSPORT. "Jesse hadn’t been playing for a little while at Man United and he was out of the scene.
"Listen, class is always there. He’s a very classy player, he understands the game very well.
"Physically he’s a fantastic athlete. A lot of credit has to go to the player, but to David as well," the former England captain said.
"David’s got him and playing him in a position that really suited the kid. He thrived on being around the environment that David’s created there."
