Trevor Siemian is out for the season after nasty ankle injury

After starting his first game in more than a season, Jets quarterback Trevor Siemian is out for the season after suffering a nasty ankle injury in the first quarter on Monday night against the Browns.

It’s a gross video, so if you want to go look at it, that’s on you.

It’s a tough go for Siemian, who was on a one-year deal with the Jets. I noted that he could get a chance to prove he’s a borderline starter in the league.

He’ll no longer get that deal.

Siemian, 27, spent last season as the backup for Kirk Cousins in Minnesota, but didn’t appear in a game. He started 24 games for the Broncos in 2016 and 2017 and threw for 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions.
