Trevor Lawrence, Travis Etienne shine as Clemson blows out Miami

It was billed as a dramatic top-10 matchup and a chance for Miami to announce their triumphant return to college football relevance with an upset win over the top-ranked team in the country.

Instead, it was merely another chapter in the ever-growing story of Clemson’s dominance, and one more chance for the Tigers’ top draft prospects to flex their muscles.

It was business as usual for quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the consensus top prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class, who accounted for 326 yards and four touchdowns, showing all the physical and mental tools that will likely make him next year’s No. 1 overall pick:

Not to be outdone was Travis Etienne, the top running back prospect in the country, who rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns, and added 73 more yards on eight receptions.

Etienne took some college football history with him, as well:

Clemson is the best team in the country, they have the best quarterback and running back in the country, and they’ll have the first two players selected at those positions in next year’s draft.
