A frustrating performance by the Jacksonville Jaguars offense is still fresh in the mind of players on the team. While the team doesn’t want to dwell on the 17-9 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, quarterback Trevor Lawrence thinks there’s a way to use the disappointment in a positive way.
“It still bothers you and you wanna bounce back and have a great day at practice today,” Lawrence told reporters Wednesday afternoon. “You want to kind of get that feeling out of your system when you don’t execute and you don’t play well.
Buy Jaguars Tickets“It’s about channeling that in the right direction, putting together a great plan, and preparing for this game. That game is over. We can’t go back and change it. We’re 1-1, that’s where we’re at. We’ve got to be able to move on and figure out how can we get better.”
Lawrence, 23, finished the loss to the Chiefs with 22 completions on 41 attempts for 216 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions. The third-year quarterback was just a hair off on a couple throws each to Calvin Ridley and Zay Jones in the back of the end zone.

The Jaguars offensive line has received the brunt of the criticism for the unit’s rough performance, but Lawrence says the problem ran deeper than just the players up front.
“Those guys are going to be just fine, I’m not worried about it,” Lawrence said of the line. “It’s all of us. It’s all of us playing together and communicating. I don’t think any player on offense played anywhere close to their best game on Sunday, so it’s not just those guys.
“We’ve all got to better and we will be. We have a group that recognizes that. There’s nobody who thinks they played great on Sunday and think they’re above anyone else.”
The Jaguars finished 0-for-3 in the red zone Sunday and converted only three of his 12 third downs.
