Trent Williams ranked as No. 81 best player in the NFL

It’s unclear whether or not left tackle Trent Williams will report to training camp with the Washington Redskins on Thursday, but what we do know is that he is still one of the top 100 players in the NFL.

As the NFL gears up for its 100th season, they are counting down the top 100 players, and Williams clocked in at No. 81 on Tuesday night. As of yet, he is the only member of the Washington Redskins on the list, though it would be safe to assume that Ryan Kerrigan would be featured at some point.

The countdown is shown in groups of 10 every night this week on NFL Network, with Wednesday’s show airing at 9 p.m. ET.

All of the noise surrounding Williams this week has been regarding whether or not he will report to training camp or continue his holdout. Mike Garafolo reported on Monday that the pro-bowler will likely skip out on camp to start, which makes him liable to receiving a hefty fine for every day he misses.

While we wait and hope to hear whether or not No. 71 will show up in Richmond, VA., on Thursday, the thought of him standing at No. 81 in the league can help Washington fans get to sleep at night.
