Trent Williams has ended his holdout, is back with the Redskins

A trade wasn’t made on Tuesday, but a holdout was ended.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, left tackle Trent Williams ended his holdout on Tuesday, the same day as the NFL Trade Deadline, and reported back to the team in Washington.

The Redskins spent all morning trying to get a deal done to send Williams to the Cleveland Browns, but they were unable to come to terms before the 4 p.m. deadline.

It is not yet clear whether or not Williams intends to play for the Redskins this season, but his several-month holdout has now ended, and he is back with the team heading into Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills.
