We knew it was likely, but it is now official as of this afternoon: Trent Williams did not report to Washington Redskins training camp.
That is not to say that Williams will not show up one day soon, but as of now, he is not with the team in Richmond, Virginia, one day ahead of camp, which opens on Thursday at 9:15 a.m.
While ESPN’s John Keim reports that head coach Jay Gruden is expecting Williams to make a return to the team soon, it has also been reported that team president Bruce Allen has talked to Williams and would like to leave that conversation between the two.
Whether Williams shows up is still unknown, but as of now, the holdout continues.
