Trent Brown showed up to training camp early, per Bill Belichick

New England Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown looks much better heading into training camp than he did at minicamp. He even arrived four days early, according to coach Bill Belichick.

Brown looks to have a bounce-back year for the team in 2023. He played in every game in 2022, but he clearly struggled at times. His 13 penalties were tied for second-most in the NFL.

Improved offensive line play will be important, as New England hopes to be a bit more cohesive offensively than they were last season. It all starts with Brown at the all-important left tackle position.

“He’s been here the last four days,” Belichick said, when speaking about Brown on Tuesday, via NESN’s Zack Cox. “He looks ready to go.”

Strong play from Brown could go a long way towards the success of the rest of the offense.

Quarterback Mac Jones looks to have a bounce-back year, and running back Rhamondre Stevenson will try to build on his 1,000-yard campaign last season. Consistency and penalty-free play from Brown should go a long way in ensuring things go according to plan.
