Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold says that Manchester City are "always favourites" after being asked about the Reds' chances of competing next season.
Pep Guardiola's side edged past their rivals Manchester United in the FA Cup final at Wembley to win their seventh accolade in the competition and move to just one triumph away from a famous treble. The Citizens romped to Premier League success in May as the Spaniard scored a third successive English top-flight crown.
Ilkay Gundogan's double was enough to deny the Red Devils' hopes of a domestic double. They're now at least 90 minutes away from managing the same feat as Sir Alex Ferguson's side did in 1999.

Next week, Istanbul plays host to the Champions League final between the Premier League holders and Inter Milan. Alexander-Arnold, who was at the Spanish Grand Prix in Catalunya, was probed by Sky Sports' Craig Slater over whether he believes City will manage the treble.
The Liverpool man replied: "I think Man City is always favourites for everything."
Jurgen Klopp's side will want to forget the season just gone quickly after they managed a fifth-place finish in the Premier League. After chasing the quadruple 12 months ago, the Reds failed to match the expectations as they quickly fell behind Arsenal and the Etihad Stadium side in the hunt for the title.
Alexander-Arnold was subject to criticism throughout the campaign for his defensive displays but a tactical tweak saw him flourish in a new hybrid midfield role. Both he and Curtis Jones were instrumental in the unbeaten run that catapulted Liverpool from midtable back into European contention.
