Trent Alexander-Arnold's heartwarming gesture to young Liverpool fan

Trent Alexander-Arnold has made one Liverpool fan's day after his heartwarming gesture.

The Reds star has promised a young supporter named James a signed shirt.

James, who is 14 and suffers from Crohns disease, approached his hero on Twitter to make the special request.

The teenager wrote: "Hi. My name is James and i have Crohns Disease and PSC and im 14 years old.

"A year ago today i had a feeding tube put into my nose and i was underweight.

"My dream is to get a signed top from TAA or any LFC Player"

After the post received 1,000 retweets it caught Alexander-Arnold's eye and the 21-year-old Champions League winner responded.

The full-back kindly replied: "Hi James sorry to hear the troubles you’ve been having.

"Hopefully the worst times are behind you. I can definitely help with that dream.

"I’ll get a signed shirt over to you."

The young fan commented back excitedly, writing: "OMG THANKYOU SO MUCH"

Liverpool fans have adored the kind-hearted gesture from the right-back with the post having received hundreds of replies as well as 8,000 likes within just 40 minutes of posting.
