Trent Alexander-Arnold's heartwarming gesture to help NHS workers at Royal Liverpool hospital

Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold has spoken of his pride at how medical and key workers are supporting the community during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 21-year-old, from West Derby, like every other footballer in the country, is currently confined to home with the season suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Alexander-Arnold is already well-known for his social conscience and support for community initiatives such as An Hour For Others.

He has now teamed up with his kit sponsors Under Armour to provide over 2,000 products for workers at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Posting a video on his Twitter account, he said: "As everyone knows I'm Liverpool through and through, and this city means everything to me.

"I've been so inspired by the work the doctors, nurses and key workers are doing through this very difficult time.

"Together with Under Armour, it's great to be able to give something back so we're proving over 2,000 products to the amazing workers at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

"We will get through this together."
