Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has admitted he has the Premier League title within his sight but he isn't thinking about Manchester City tomorrow.
Pep Guardiola's side will hand Liverpool the title if they fail to beat Chelsea, which means Jurgen Klopp and company could become champions without kicking a ball.
However, while you may expect Alexander-Arnold to be backing Chelsea, he isn't concerned about that match and is instead looking ahead to the upcoming fixtures.
“It’s two points, so it’s quite close, but we know a lot can happen in the Premier League. We’re close," he told Sky Sports.
"We’ve waited a long time for this and we’ve worked hard for this over the last few years as a team, as a squad, and as a club this is what we’ve dreamed of. We’re in a good position, hopefully, we can get it over the line soon.
"We’ve got to focus on ourselves and not take things for granted. For us, we’re not really hoping Man City lose points or drop points, we’re just focusing on ourselves. It’s in our hands.
"Whatever happens tomorrow - we’ve still got to go to City next week and try to get a result. We’ve still got a lot of games left in the season, so we’ve got to keep pushing ourselves and hopefully break a few records along the way.”
