Trent Alexander-Arnold has won the PFA Young Player of the Year award after a stellar season for Liverpool.

Alexander-Arnold racked up 15 assists and scored four goals as Liverpool stormed to the title in style.

The 21-year-old right-back was the standout favourite for the award, which is voted for by fellow Premier League players. He beat Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford and Mason Greenwood, Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Mason Mount, and Arsenal teenager Bukayo Saka.

Alexander-Arnold is the first Liverpool player to win the prize since Steven Gerrard in 2001.

He was also nominated for the main Player of the Year prize.
