Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones send Liverpool fans wild before Manchester United

Liverpool fans have been given a fascinating sneak peak into the team's preparations for this weekend's crunch clash with Manchester United.

Jurgen Klopp's men take on United in a top-of-the-table Premier League showdown at Anfield on Sunday (4.30pm).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side are three points clear at the summit after leapfrogging the reigning champions in midweek, following a 1-0 win at Burnley.

Liverpool are without a win in three league games, being held to draws by West Bromwich Albion and Newcastle United, and losing to Southampton.

United are unbeaten in 11 league outings and will be looking to test the Reds' club record 67-game unbeaten home run in the Premier League.

The Liverpool players were looking relaxed in training ahead of the big game, though, in a video clip released by the club.

At the end of the video, we saw Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones practising free kicks, using their left foot.

There was no goalkeeper but Alexander-Arnold's effort would still have taken some stopping.

However, Jones' effort was even more impressive as he curled the ball into the top corner of the net.

The midfielder then wheeled away in delight and shouted to his team-mate: "Oh my God! Trent, Trent, Trent I don't want to hear it, I don't want to hear it!"

Liverpool supporters loved the exchange between the two homegrown talents.

"Curtis don't wanna hear it," said one fan on Reddit.

A second said: "You could hear Trent complaining at the very end so I bet they were both trying to get left footed side net and Curtis did first, but Trent was about to say it wasn't side net lol. Trent is sooo competitive it's hilarious."

Meanwhile, a third fan added: "Hearing the two Scousers at the end 'I don’t wanna hear it'. Beautiful stuff."
