Trendy Dublin suburb residents send chilling warning as fireworks 'fired out at cars and passers by'

Residents of a trendy Dublin suburb sent out a chilling warning to drivers in their community after gangs were reportedly spotted chucking fireworks at cars and pedestrians.

Stoneybatter Pride of Place is one of the biggest residents groups for the refurbished North Dublin area, with a presence across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

But rather than spotlighting the community's food spots or upcoming events, the group were forced to tell locals and visitors to duck and cover as bangers were sent flying along the North Circular Road.

"Tonight fireworks along North Circular Road towards Hanlon's Corner are bring fired out at cars and passers by," they told their followers last night.

"Please be careful and let others know if nearby.

"Happening across Dublin 7 and getting worse."

Dublin Live has contacted An Garda Siochana about the shocking scenes.
