'Tree' has people running away in fear near Formby Beach

Daytrippers who visited Formby Beach to enjoy the sunshine were terrified by a "tree" that jumped out at them.

The beach, which stretches for miles, is popular with people from near and far on sunny days.

With its iconic sand dunes, and hundreds of acres of woodland beside it, it's a great place to spend a summer day.

Youtuber Alvin Hub set up a "bushman" prank at the Victoria Road entrance to the beach.

He dressed from head to toe in fake leaves and stood next to a tree - before jumping out at unsuspecting people walking past.
