The wet and stormy weather caused travel chaos in Perthshire on Wednesday morning.
Network Rail closed a line to check for flood damage to the tracks on Wednesday, July 28 between Auchterarder and Perth.
The stretch between the Lang Toon and Hilton Junction, Perth was shut for one hour from 7am until an engineer gave the all clear at 8am.
A lowered speed limit of 20mph was imposed because of the standing water.
This remained in place until 10.30am when rain abated and normal line speed of 60mph returned.
The water issue led to one passenger service being cancelled and 20 Scotrail and LNER services being delayed.
A spokesperson for Network Rail said: “There was significant disruption to services in Perthshire on Wednesday morning.
“The timetable disruption from the morning led to multiple delays for passengers and is expected to work itself out throughout the day.”
A fallen tree branch blocked the main road connecting Aberfeldy, Strathtay and Grandtully with the A9 on Wednesday around 10am.
On the A827 between Grandtully and Logierait cars, lorries and busses were passing with difficulty or turning around while a large limb from a mature tree was sawn up.
Police were at the scene assisting traffic.
The problem had been dealt with by 10.40pm.
