Treatment of aging hands

One of the first parts of your body to show signs of aging are your hands. Your face may be youthful but your hands reveal your true age. As you age, your hands lose fat and elasticity and your skin loses volume. This reduced volume and decreased elasticity produces translucent skin that wrinkles and develops age spots. After the face, hands are the most visible part of the human body.

As you age, collagen production decreases, causing your skin to become thin and fragile over the years. When the collagen in your hands breaks down other essential proteins in the skin, it can cause the hands to appear wrinkled and veiny over time. Fillers are a great option for patients seeking a softer, more youthful look. Dermal fillers that compensate for lost volume can give a more natural-looking result than simple laser skin tightening. Hand fillers are a form of treatment that can be used to effectively reverse the signs of aging. A substance is injected into the back of the hands to replace the tissue that is lost due to aging. The most common type of hand fillers are dermal fillers, which contain a gel comprised of substances that are naturally found in the body.

Dermal fillers are used on the body Face, earlobe, hands & neck rejuvenation. Anyone from 20’s to 60’s age can use derma fillers of course the amount to be injected varies from young to not so young people.

As per expert suggestion, the precautions to be taken after using fillers are Adequate water intake, no makeup or massage post fillers, no blood thinners for 24 hours to prevent bruising. Your dermatologist will assess and recommend the appropriate treatment, whether fillers with Botox or lasers or threads, either or in combination. If given in the vessel area near hands there may be bruising which could take a week or more to subside. Fillers when given in large volumes at a single point May cause an infection called Granuloma, which needs to be treated with antibiotics and May need surgical removal.
