'Treated so poorly' - Bristol City fans hit out at Arsenal over ex-Leeds United striker Eddie Nketiah

Bristol City fans have been left stunned at the news Eddie Nketiah will stay at Arsenal.

After his recall from Leeds United, the Robins were leading the chase to take the striker on loan after he initially turned them down in the summer.

It seemed like Nketiah would be set for another loan move , but

Here is how Robins fans reacted to the blow.

Tom: Well that’s embarrassing news to wake up to!

Officer Dibble: Bristol City have spent six months asking Eddie Nketiah out on a date, and he’s spent six months telling us to go away. I think it’s time that everybody at the club accepts the obvious fact that he isn’t interested in us and moves on to other targets!

Charlie: Thank god we can stop talking about him now. Would’ve been a great signing but if he and Arteta thinks he will improve more rotting in the reserves then we can easily look elsewhere.

Ollie Yorke: Despite the 43rd setback in the last two weeks, there is supposedly an abundance of strikers available this window.

Stephen Coombes: Frustrating, of course, but if your anger is directed at the club, the player, Johnson or Ashton you need a lie down. Time for plan b. If there’s no plan b, it’s time to be angry.

Joe: Do we just go out and try and get Britt Assombalonga? Pretty sure he will do a job and surely we could attract him to the club.

James Cox: Genuinely feel so bad for MA, LJ and the recruitment team. I imagine they've spent so long putting in the effort to secure said striker, and they've been treated so poorly. We go again, trust the club.

The Don: The phrase putting all your eggs in one basket springs to mind...
