A Sunderland man is to appear on Bear Grylls new programme which will start on Channel 4 this weekend.
Hit Channel 4 series The Island with Bear Grylls is back on our screens, but this time there’s a twist.
For the first time there’s money at stake and it’s everyone for themselves.
The reimagined series - Treasure Island with Bear Grylls - will once again see 12 ordinary Brits marooned for 35 days on a remote tropical island, battling for their survival.
But this time £100,000 in cash - dropped across the island - is up for grabs.
The Islanders will not only have to survive the forces of nature but will be pushed to their physical and mental limits as they endeavour to find the ‘treasure’.
And just finding it isn’t enough: if they leave early, they leave with nothing. Only those who make it to the very end, can keep their share of any money they find.
Among the contestants is 30 year old Marco. After six years in the military as a Royal Marine Commando, he is now working as a wedding photographer and graphic designer.
