Tre Boston signs with Panthers, will face Cardinals in 2019

The Arizona Cardinals did not bring back safety Tre Boston during the offseason after a productive 2018 campaign. He went unsigned until Wednesday.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, he signed with the Carolina Panthers on a one-year deal with $3 million. He began his career with Carolin before one-year stints with the Los Angeles Chargers in 2017 and the Cardinals in 2018.

The deal is double the $1.5 million deal he got from Arizona last season.

He had 79 tackles, three interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery last season. He had a total of eight interceptions in the last two seasons.

He will get to face his former team. The Cardinals host the Panthers in Week 13.
