College Bio

Career Stats

A two-year starter at Texas A&M, Williams was the first-ever true freshman at to run for over 1,000 yards as he went for 1,057 yards in 2016. After having a down year, rushing for 798 as a sophomore, he rebounded in a big way as a junior under coach Jimbo Fisher with 1,760 yards to go with 18 rushing touchdowns. He leaves College Station No. 3 on the school’s all-time rushing list (3,615).

Williams thrived as a rusher, receiver and blocker over his career. With his decision making, lateral agility to break ankles at the line of scrimmage and run – to – daylight vision, Williams is dangerous when he gets in space, showing the ability to break off and reach top speed quickly. Running bigger than his size suggests, he displays a tenacious running style, combining that with balance or a spin move to break through contact. As a pass catcher, Williams flourishes when used in the screen game.

Overall, Williams might not have ideal size to handle a full NFL workload, but he has the vision, athletic balance, desire and versatility to be a multi-situational running back as a true No. 2 or 3 RB early on in his career.

Projection: 3rd/4th Round
