Travis Scott has opened up about raising his and ex Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi Webster to be “strong”.
On Wednesday, the rapper discussed his two-year-old daughter during a new episode of .WAV Radio, where he revealed that he wants Stormi to know she can do "anything a man can do."
“I feel like it's way more important now to protect young black daughters, women, and make sure they have the knowledge of how to carry themselves, how to move in this world, how to be strong, how to not even be scared to take that risk on any idea, jump out on any activity,” he said, according to People. “Now more than ever, they have the vision."
For Stormi, the 29-year-old said he wants her to have a “pure vision” of what she is capable of.
“Whether it's for anything a man can do, anything a woman can do. They got the pure vision. You know what I'm saying?” he said, adding: “It's just all about that.”
The TKN rapper revealed his hopes for his daughter’s future after he previously reflected on what it’s been like watching Stormi grow up during an interview with GQ in September.
“It's amazing just to watch my daughter grow,” he said of the time he’s been able to spend with the two-year-old amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Scott also said he’s been focused on teaching his daughter and “keeping her aware”.
“I'm keeping her aware of what's going on in the world. As a parent, I'm always instilling knowledge, even at this age,” he said.
Scott and Jenner welcomed Stormi in February 2018 before later separating in October 2019.
