In a move that is totally understandable given Instagram’s pesky new update, Travis Kelce’s mum has accidentally reshared a post mentioning Taylor Swift’s uterus and need to “breed”.
The post in question was shared by US comedian Leanne Morgan, whose recent stand up set included a joke about Swift having an “aching uterus” because she “wants a baby”.
“It’s time for her to want a baby, and she wants to breed with that big old Kelce boy,” Morgan said in the clip, while writing in the caption that she was “thrilled” for the newly-engaged couple.
While Morgan’s set might’ve flown under the radar, the all-knowing algorithm apparently fed it to Kelce’s 72-year-old mum, Donna Kelce, who seemed to accidentally reshare it to her own feed before Swiftly (sorry, it’ll never get old) taking it down, per Page Six.
Still, Morgan cherished the accidental shoutout, tagging Donna in the comments and congratulating her on soon having grandchildren who will be “playing ball AND singing”.
Rolled out last month, Instagram’s new Repost feature allows users to, well, repost other people’s content to their own feeds — but the button’s closeness to the Like and Share feature makes a butt-repost like Donna’s inevitable.
Take it from this writer, who accidentally reshared a faith-based at home pilates workout routine (?), despite not being religious and at first thinking pilates was some kind of French soup.
Anyway, since hell hath no fury like a Swiftie, it wasn’t long before fans flocked to Donna’s defence on social media, reminding folks that it was probably an accident and that, like many an older mum before her, “she must’ve tapped the wrong button”.
Of course, Morgan’s baby chatter is understandable, since it’s probably the next step for the soon-to-be newlyweds after breaking the internet with their engagement last month.
In the wake of the garden moment heard ‘round the world, speculation erupted about the price tag of the ring, while rumours circulated about who’ll be in (or out) of the wedding guest list. Let’s just say it might not be a Lively affair.
Elsewhere, Kelce made his first public comments about the post-engagement buzz this week, while reports claimed the pair might tie the knot with a ceremony in Rhode Island.
Although it was accidental, Donna wasn’t the only parent to weigh in on the engagement, with Kelce’s dad, Ed Kelce, revealing his reaction to the proposal late last month.
