Travis Kelce hilariously destroyed ‘Burrowhead’ nickname after Chiefs beat Bengals in AFC championship

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce didn’t let some Cincinnati Bengals overconfidence go unnoticed after his team punched a ticket to the Super Bowl.

After the Chiefs took down the Bengals at home to claim an AFC title on Sunday, Kelce took to the mic during teammate Patrick Mahomes’ postgame interview and sent a very curt message to the Bengals faithful.

“Burrowhead, my ass,” Kelce exclaimed. “It’s Mahomes’ house!”

Mahomes got a good laugh out of his teammate’s trolling.

For background, the Bengals had started to call Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium “Burrowhead Stadium” after the Cincy quarterback had compiled a 3-0 record against the Chiefs in his young career.

The Chiefs have taken great offense to that nickname, including Kelce.

Well, it looks like “Burrowhead” won’t stick much longer. Kelce’s excitement dispels a lot of the hype surrounding the Bengals being the team to beat in the AFC.

Judging by Sunday’s final result, the conference still belongs to Mahomes and the Chiefs. It’ll probably stop any other team from nicknaming Kansas City’s stadium after their quarterback anytime soon.
