Travis Etienne thought the Bills would draft him

The Jacksonville Jaguars surprised nobody when they made Trevor Lawrence the No. 1 overall pick in the 2021 NFL draft.

It was a bit of a shock, though, when they spent their other first-round pick on Lawrence’s teammate, Clemson running back Travis Etienne.

Etienne himself was a bit surprised, admitting recently that he expected to land with the Buffalo Bills, who owned the No. 30 overall pick in this year’s draft. The Bills never got the chance, as the Jags grabbed him at No. 25 overall, a pick they received from the Los Angeles Rams in the Jalen Ramsey trade.
