Travis d’Arnaud had a hilarious reaction to getting hit by a 52 MPH pitch from Dee Strange-Gordon

Position players pitching is already one of the most fun things in baseball (thanks, Brett Phillips!), particularly when they’re throwing baseballs at ordinary speeds.

That was the case on Tuesday night with the Atlanta Braves up big on the Washington Nationals.

The Nats were down 13-4 in the eighth, so they brought in veteran infielder Dee Strange-Gordon to pitch. He gave up three runs, but most importantly, he hit catcher Travis d’Arnaud with a pitch … and the reaction was the best.

He fell down like he had been hit hard, but the pitch was clocked at 52 MPH. Everyone loved it, of course:
