Travis Barker's tattoos for Kourtney Kardashian - ex cover up and her own one

Perhaps the ultimate tribute to a loved one is permanently inking them on your body forever.

And it's something Travis Barker has done not once but four times when it comes to his new fiancee, Kourtney Kardashian.

Blink 182 rocker Travis is covered in tats from head to toe, with 70% of his body inked after he started getting it done aged 15.

But the 46-year-old managed to find some room for Kourtney's name in April, when they had been together for just months.

This was the first tattoo that directly referenced her, but fans think he already had another in her honour.

He had "You're So Cool!' tattooed on his leg, the title of the lead track from the 1993 film True Romance.

His followers were convinced it was in Kourtney's handwriting, and the couple have also previously admitted they have a shared passion for the film.

Next, Travis had 42-year-old Kourtney's name inked above his heart.

This is a controversial tattoo that often artists will refuse to do, but given Travis proposed to Kourtney months later, he is clearly in it for the long haul and won't regret the ink.

Posting a photo, Travis simply captioned the Instagram post: "Leave me alone," to which his Poosh founder girlfriend responded: "Never".

Kourtney herself even held the needle and tattooed 'I love you' on Travis' arm, having received some speedy training which usually takes years.

In October, Travis sealed his love with a kiss and had a print of Kourtney's lips inked on his arm.

According to Us Weekly, Kourtney pressed her lips to a piece of paper and Travis then transferred the lipstick mark on to this body.

This tattoo along with a scorpion covered a previous inking of his ex Shanna Moakler's name.

He had the work done on the one-week anniversary of his engagement to Kourtney, showing the snaps off on Instagram and thanking artist Scott Campbell.

Travis married Shanna Moakler in 2004, but they split in 2006 and their divorce was finalised in 2008.

The star also covered several other tattoos dedicated to Shanna, including her initials on his hand with a skull and tulip.

Former Miss USA Shanna later had the 'Travis' tattoo she had on her inner wrist removed, and she furiously hit out at her ex-partner, claiming his new ink was a dig at her.

She wrote on Instagram: "To my newfound haters, to clarify since everyone seems to know my personal life, my ex put a skull tattoo over our initials on his hand while his new girl lovingly looked on.

"That was done with purpose and intent along with posts to try to insult me and my happiness with my new man. Once again weird!"

The former couple share two kids - Landon, 18, and Alabama, 15, as well as Shanna's daughter Atiana De La Hoya.

Alabama and Landon attended their dad's engagement as he laid out candles and red roses on a private beach and popped the question to a delighted Kourtney earlier this year.

Kourtney also has children Mason, 11, Penelope, nine, and Reign, six, with ex Scott Disick.

Unlike Travis, Kourtney is yet to have any tattoos herself - but he shared a photo this week that hinted she might be considering it.

He posted a photo where Kourtney, who is sitting on his lap, is sporting a much edgier look with various 'tattoos' on her upper chest, arms and legs - but they're not actually real.

Travis shared it with his 6million followers, accompanying it with emojis of a rose, a butterfly and a spider - and he later revealed he'd had it framed.

The musician tagged artist Cheyenne Randall, who is understood to have created the image using a genuine photo of the couple taken by photographer Julia Kulik.

He has edited the real photo to include 'tattoos' such as a large butterfly on her upper chest and a barbed wire heart located near one of her wrists.

Cheyenne wrote on his account: "This was a fun one working on top of this dope photo of [Travis and Kourtney] by [Julia]."

He also posted photo of himself drawing on top of the photo, making it clear that the 'tattoos' aren't real.

Some fans were impressed by the way Kourtney looked in the image, with one responding: "I hope she makes them permanent."

Another wrote: "Just when I thought Kourt couldn't get any hotter."

A third added: "She should get real tattoos. She looks great."

Others however weren't as keen, with one responding: "Not a good look for her."

Another said "she looks ridiculous," whilst someone else described the post as "cringe."
