Travis Barker flown 'five times in a month' after avoiding planes for 13 years

Travis Barker has revealed he has flown “five times” in the past month after nearly 13 years of avoiding air travel following a near death plane crash.

The Blink-182 drummer, who is dating Kourtney Kardashian, famously survived an horrific plane crash in 2008.

Travis survived but tragically four people in the plane accident died leaving the musician understandably fearful about flying again.

The 45-year-old rocker has credited Keeping Up With The Kardashians girlfriend Kourtney, 42, for helping him conquer his long-time fear.

“Flew 5 times in the last month,” tweeted the proud musician Travis.

Travis jetted off to Cabo San Lucas in Mexico with Kourtney as the pair continued their incredibly public PDAs.

They have been spotted kissing by the Eiffel Tower in Paris and also on many occasions on a romantic trip to Venice.

And on Instagram Travis posted a sweet snap of himself kissing and holding Kourtney on a runway, with a private jet positioned in the background.

“With you anything is possible,” penned loved-up Travis.

"Anything and everything with you," responded Kourtney.

The couple dated on and off between 2006 and 2015, but have taken their whirlwind romance to another level over the last year having become serious.

And in February they went Instagram official with a cute snap of themselves holding hands.

However, Travis came close to dying in 2008 in his horror plane crash.

The crash happened on 19 th September when Travis flew from South Carolina to Los Angeles.

But during take-off one of the plane’s tires suffered a blow out causing the aircraft to overshoot the runway.

The plane burst through the airport’s security fence and incredibly on to a nearby highway, before finally crashing.

Pilot Sarah Lemmon and co-pilot James Band were tragically killed and so were Travis’s bodyguard Charles Still and his assistant Chris Baker.

Understandably the terrifying incident left Travis traumatised and he was also badly injured as well, suffering third-degree burns over 65 per cent of his body.

He subsequently spent three months in hospital having skin grafts and a staggering 26 surgeries to repair the damage the fire had caused to his body.

And, according to The Sun, Travis and Kourtney want to combine their two families to cement their blossoming relationship even further.

“Kourtney and Travis are loved up but what's causing a headache is the plans to combine the two families,” a source told the paper.

“Right now Kourtney and Travis live minutes away from each other, but they want to move in together to start a new chapter, and that means all their kids need to be involved in the plan too.

“When he's not with his kids, Travis spends all his time at Kourt's - and he more or less lives there,” and that “Kourt wants Travis to be step-dad to her kids, and her to his.”
