Travelodge reveal the weirdest items guests left behind last year- including alpacas

Chargers, phones and Kindles are the most common items left behind in hotels, but would you forget a pair of alpacas as easily?

According to Mirror Online , Travelodge has shared some of the most unusual items left behind by guests in 2019 and two alpacas named Ant and Dec were among the strangest items on the list.

Others include a 5ft floral unicorn, a 65-year-old bonsai tree and a Persian chinchilla cat.

And the strange items don't end there, as a gingerbread village, Tiffany engagement ring and an Aston Martin car were also left behind by guests.

A blue-eyed cockatoo called Brexit, a replica of Meghan Markle's wedding dress and a five-foot bear made from popcorn were other odd items that were left behind.

In one branch, one guest who overslept had to be put on a sea tractor by the Torquay branch manager to make his brother's wedding on Burgh Island.

Shakila Ahmed, a spokesperson for Travelodge said: "When it comes to why so many of our customers forget their treasured items, it's basically due to us all being time poor, juggling multiple tasks and being in a hurry to get from A to B.

"In the rush, valuable possessions are easily forgotten."
