Planes may be back off the ground and taking British tourists off to far-foreign lands - but many holidaymakers are looking a little closer to home for their 2020 breaks.
In an effort to lure in the 'staycation' market, Travelodge are reducing the prices on over 1 million rooms placed across the UK's coastline and further afield to £29 or less.
The low prices will be made available here from the Travelodge website starting from tomorrow, July 4, through to the end of the year, December 31.
The reductions open up beach breaks to locations like Wales, Cornwall, Devon, Brighton, Blackpool, Llandudno, Bournemouth and Scarborough. But if sun, sea and sand isn't your thing, other reductions are also on offer throughout the country's beautiful countryside including Northumberland, Dorset, New Forest, the Peak District and the Lake District.
The current climate has also seen a recent dramatic rise in AirBnB bookings, with many holidaymakers preferring the security of having their own place. You can check out the latest AirBnB listings in the map below:
With the UK government and global health authorities at paints to point out that the battle against the coronavirus pandemic is not yet over, a new "TravelodgeProtect+" scheme has been introduced throughout the chain.
Travelodge say: "We want to create an environment where everyone has peace of mind - whether you are staying or working with us."
In order to provide this, they have introduced the following:
Social Distancing
- Social distancing practiced throughout the hotel
- Protective screens in place on reception and floor signs in place
- PPE provided to all hotel staff
Contactless Measures
- Housekeeping teams will not enter bedrooms throughout your stay (unless you are staying for more than six nights)
- Contactless payments available
- Contact-free checkouts
