Travelodge launch a bespoke wedding service in its Newcastle hotels

Just got engaged and already stressing about the big day clearing you out of money? Well never fear as Travelodge have just launched a purse-friendly bespoke wedding service.

No, this isn't a late April Fool, Travelodge are aiming to help Geordie couples with their weddings with a service that has just launched nationwide.

Travelodge say the service will help brides and grooms eliminate the hassle and reduce the accommodation cost for their wedding guests.

Key research findings revealed that 32% of Geordies have been invited to three weddings this year and will be spending around £600 per wedding. Collectively this equates to £1,800 for the privilege of being a wedding guest  .

The biggest gripe for most wedding guests is the accommodation cost of attending the wedding – especially as nowadays most weddings are major events and held away from home and could involve two nights away. Organising accommodation for guests is also a stressful and time consuming part of wedding planning for brides and grooms too.

Nearly a half of Geordies (48%) reported that they found it stressful and very time consuming finding cost effective accommodation close to the wedding venue.

And with that in mind Travelodge's service includes:

* A dedicated wedding coordinator who creates a tailored low cost  accommodation package close to the wedding venue

* A personalised wedding website that details wedding and accommodation details and a direct booking service for guests to book a low cost room for the big day. (The couple just send the link to the website to their guests)

* A complimentary Travelodge room for the bride and groom to use during their wedding (if 10 or more other rooms are booked.)

Further information can be found at the special wedding section of the Travelodge website.

There are Travelodges in and around Newcastle down on the Quayside, near the Metrocentre, Whitemare Pool and Seaton Burn.
