Travelodge currently has stays for £29 for the summer including family rooms

Travelodge is giving Brits the chance to snap up some budget-friendly staycations this summer, with a brand new sale.

The budget hotel chain has slashed prices on TWO MILLION rooms across its UK hotels, with rates for £29 or less. That includes family rooms - meaning you could bag a stay from £7.25pp for a family of four.

The best part is that the deal is valid for stays between May 17 through to January 31, so there's ample opportunity to bag a deal for school holidays, or even for the summer if you're considering a last-minute break.

Under England's current roadmap, it's hoped that hotels and other accommodation will be able to reopen from May 17, paving the way for staycations.

You can already book the rooms on travelodge.co.uk but it's worth noting the cheapest rates are subject to availability. If you can be a little flexible with your travel dates then it's also worth checking out Travelodge's price finder to unearth even more deals.

There are plenty of tempting destinations too, including some seaside spots for the summer. For example, there are £29 rooms in the likes of Cornwall, Blackpool, Bournemouth and Brighton currently up for grabs.

Thinking of a city break in the autumn instead? There are deals for stays in the likes of Bath, York and Edinburgh, as well as London stays for £35 a night.
