Travellers pitch up on Lady Bay school playing fields stopping PE lessons

Caravans have illegally pitched up on a school playing field in Lady Bay - halting PE lessons for children.

Travellers have been seen at the Adbolton Lane playing fields, which is used by Lady Bay primary school.

The school was first informed of at least four caravans arriving at the site at around 12pm on Monday, June 24.

A spokeswoman for the school said Nottinghamshire County Council, which owns the land, has been informed of the travellers, and will be taking the relevant legal proceedings.

She added that PE lessons on the field have not been able to be held because of the travellers pitching up there.

Nottinghamshire County Council has been contacted for comment.
