Travellers pitch up on former Homebase site in Nottingham

Travellers have pitched up on the car park of a former Homebase shop in Nottingham.

At least eight caravans can be seen at the site in Queen's Drive, which was partly fenced off after the branch closed in December last year.

It is not known when the group arrived in the area.

Homebase announced last August that a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) - which allows a firm to settle dates by paying a portion of what it owes - had been approved and it would close 42 stores.

The Queen's Drive branch was axed in favour of its store in Mansfield Road, Daybrook.
