Travellers have set up camp at Durdham Down - at a time many people are using the area in the wake of lockdown easing.
Pictures taken today (May 15) show a total of five caravans on the section close to where Funderworld takes place.
They apparently arrived yesterday evening.
They will be noticed by the growing number of people using the open space since lockdown easing for activities such as walks and picnics.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Police said the force was aware of the travellers and its neighbourhood team was working with Bristol City Council.
The spokesperson said: "We have been made aware of this by members of the public.
"The neighbourhood team have linked in with the local authority and are monitoring."
Bristol City Council have been approached by Bristol Live for comment on this.
