The resumption of international travel on May 17 gave Scots a glimmer of hope that a summer holiday abroad could be on the cards over the next couple of months.
But less than a month on, holiday plans are still on hold as the new Delta covid variant continues to disrupt progress in the battle against the virus.
Since the initial announcement, there haven't been many changes to the travel traffic light system which is reviewed every three weeks.
It's hoped that the next update on June 24 will bring better news for travellers and holidaymakers. But until then, here's how things are looking:
Green list
Arrivals will need to take a pre-departure test as well as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on or before day two of their arrival back into the UK – but will not need to quarantine on return (unless they receive a positive result) or take any additional tests.

Red list
Arrivals will be subject to restrictions currently in place for red list countries which include a 10-day stay in a managed quarantine hotel, pre-departure testing and mandatory PCR testing on day two and eight.
