The company has shops on more than 100 cruise ships across the world, with more than 2,000 employees selling high-end brands and merchandise.
Staff working for Starboard Cruise Services get to sail the globe, stopping off in destinations in the Caribbean, Alaska, Australia, Europe, South America, and Asia.
The company is a subsidiary of the Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessey brand and it’s the world’s largest on-board duty-free retailer.
Retail managers need to “provide leadership” for the on-board cruise shops, which have an annual revenue of more than $10m, as well as offering excellent customer service and demonstrating high retail standards.
An online advert for the full-time managerial position says applicants need to be able to motivate and coach a sales team of more than 20 people to hit their targets and create executive plans to drive sales.
Managers are also responsible for training the sales team in product knowledge, selling techniques and guest services.
Anyone interested in applying for this round-the-world sales job needs at least two years' department store management experience and two years' experience leading a large retail team.
Applicants need to be willing to live and work on-board ships for six months continuously, as well as having strong written and verbal English skills.
