Business travellers will be watching the BA situation very carefully - The Guardian and others report that deals are being brokered with only hours to spare to avery an all-out strike. The Guardian also has more on the clothing story I mentioned yesterday = hopefully a deal will emerge. Could be a good day for deals.
There has been a lot of coverage of people making a living through eBay. The Daily Mail reports that the Inland Revenue has noticed and will be taxing earnings. Speaking of tax, the same paper says people in their twenties and early thirties are paying too much tax and not getting any benefit.
The Independent, meanwhile, thinks there's something going on between the Prime Minister and the Financial Services Authority, although it admits it doesn't know quite what. This follows a speech the PM made criticising the organisation earlier this year; the FSA has now admitted he wrote a letter too, but won't disclose what it said.
That's the Labour PM; the Tories, meanwhile, will be having fun as Ken Clarke has branded the Euro a failure (which no doubt translates as "look, I'm still young enough to be leader"). He's backed by leading economists. In condemning the Euro, not in wanting to be leader - now that would be a story.
