Tottenham fans could have a bit of a travel nightmare on their hands tonight.
Spurs will have a strong following in the Stadion Rajko Mitic for the Champions League encounter on Wednesday night, although they and the players are in for a hostile atmosphere.
Supporters have been recommended to stay in Belgrade city centre during their stay and have been urged to take shuttle buses laid on to and from the stadium, with any fans choosing to use alternative transport advised not to wear anything that distinguishes them as Tottenham supporters when travelling and in the vicinity of the stadium.
Red Star supporters were banned from attending the game at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after being found guilty of racist behaviour in July, while a rogue faction of supporters have been linked with tribal violence for decades.
But Spurs fans in Belgrade have had their pre-match preparations thrown into chaos.
Belgrade police have changed the pick-up point for the free, organised coach travel to the stadium, with fans forced to meet 9km away from the ground to get the coaches.
A statement from Spurs read: "Due to a late alteration by local Belgrade police, and despite extensive lobbying by the club, supported by the Metropolitan Police, the British Embassy Belgrade and UEFA, the pick-up point for free organised coach transport has been confirmed as the Sports Centre Banjica.
"Sports Centre Banjica is 9km from Belgrade city centre and can be reached by taking the 41 trolleybus from Student Square in central Belgrade."
The move was condemned by the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust, who said on Twitter: "Highly disappointing to say the least."
