Travel firm wants to offer one woman a free solo tour anywhere in the world

Women looking for their next adventure could bag the chance to go on a solo travel experience for FREE thanks to a new competition.

That's because TourRadar, an online marketplace for multi-day tours, is celebrating International Women's Day by giving one woman $2,000 - approximately £1,552 - worth of travel credits to spend on solo adventures of her choice.

(Although the prize is in dollars, it's open to UK residents).

The intrepid explorer will plenty of wanderlust-inducing tours to choose from, whether wanting to explore the Golden Triangle in India, go on a Gorilla trek in Uganda, hike the Classic Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, or go Greek island hopping .

There are heaps of dreamy destinations on offer too including Iceland , Africa , Asia and Latin America , to name a few.

To apply, simply head to the TourRadar website and submit a one-minute video or write 250 words explaining why the solo adventure is perfect for you.

Oh, and if you're not signing up but know someone who would be perfect, you can nominate them instead!

You'll need to submit the application by Thursday 5th March, and the winners will be announced on International Women's Day, on Sunday 8th March.
