Road users in East Kilbride are this afternoon being warned of congestion and delays.
That follows an accident on the A725 near to the Whirlies Roundabout towards Hamilton.
The road is closed and causing severe congestion. One road user told the News this afternoon: “It’s chaos”.
The incident was also made worse by an accident at the Raith Interchange, with both incidents resulting in heavy traffic.
Our source told us: “It’s typical East Kilbride – every roundabout tailed back as a result.

“It took me half an hour to move 150 yards.”
Motorists are being encouraged to check road conditions before traveling and reminded of travel restrictions in place under tier 3 COVID restrictions, with non-essential travel discouraged.
