Part of the A8 near Coatbridge will be closed eastbound for two nights later this month.
The Coatbridge Road route will be shut between Swinton and Bargeddie roundabouts on the evenings of Wednesday and Thursday, July 28 and 29 – closing at 8pm on each date and reopening at 6am the next morning.
Surfacing work will be carried out on both nights by the Scottish Road Partnership, and diversion signs for both motorway and non-motorway traffic will be in place.
Transport Scotland say that the work is “to maintain the integrity and safety of this route”.
A statement added: “Closures have been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic; they are required to ensure road user and road worker safety while essential surfacing works are undertaken.”
