Travel agent jobs you can do from home and earn £100,000

One of the UK's biggest travel agents is looking for staff to work from the comfort of their own home.

Hays Travel are looking to recruit people who are passionate about travel to help with the expected surge in demand for holidays as the coronavirus lockdown restrictions ease.

The opportunity is available to anyone regardless of experience – as long as they share the Hays Travel commitment to help people find their dream holidays.

Successful candidates will also need exceptional customer service skills, a lively personality, and the ability to build rapport with customers over the phone, by email, social media and face to face.

Consultants can work as much or as little as they wish, with some of the most successful earning up to £100,000 in a year.

Irene Hays, co-owner and chair of Hays Travel, said: "We know that Covid-19 means that many people are considering their work options right now.

"Some people have enjoyed the benefits of working from home, while others may be looking for a complete change of career.

“Being a Hays Travel self-employed personal travel consultant means you can work at home with all the flexibility that brings, but you are never alone, because you have our experienced teams right beside you.”

There are different packages available to join the division, depending on experience.

From those just joining the industry, the award-winning Hays Travel Academy provides a comprehensive training programme, and everyone is provided with their ‘business in a box’ including the technology and equipment to set up.

There is also ongoing support and one-to-one coaching for all homeworkers from Hays Travel professionals in sales, marketing and personal development.

The homeworking division also has its own annual conference and other networking events.

"After Thomas Cook went into liquidation and I was sadly left without a job, I thought it was a perfect time to dive into a new challenge and start my journey as a PTC.

"I love the flexibility that comes with being my own boss, I am able to work around the school runs and family commitments as well as being there for my customers when it is convenient for them.

"The support I am given by the Hays team is amazing, they are always by your side and ready to help.”

As well as expanding the homeworking division, Hays Travel continues to recruit experienced travel agents as well as apprentices for roles in shops across the UK and at the Head Office in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear.
