'Traumatising' Celtic fans react as club try to fill suspension void with coronavirus alternative

With the lack of football for the foreseeable future, Celtic tried to fill the void for their fans this weekend.

The Hoops were supposed to host St Johnstone this afternoon, before the coronavirus pandemic forced the game to be called off amid the suspension of Scottish football.

And the club tried to provide an alternative by streaming a virtual game of PES 2020 on YouTube.

But the efforts of the social media team didn't appear to go down well with supporters.

@AMc88_ said: "Stop it. Stop it now. This is traumatising."

@LukeBreslin tweeted: "Please stop."

@Chrissssyyy added: "Canny believe am watching this."

@kakamay88 tweeted: "Is this game being simulated or is someone just playing st Johnstone on easy mode?"

@AidanMiller1967 said: "Please stop embarrassing us."

@Deckyy67 said: "SHVED CAN'T EVEN GET IN THE PES TEAM."

@AdamLynch27 added: "Even Forrest will go missing in a pretend game."

@CharlieMcQ67 tweeted: "Free Klimala."
