How keen were BBC minders on the outgoing fiction controller, Jane Tranter, speaking at today's MediaGuardian Changing Broadcast Summit 2008? Not at all, if the mere 30 minutes she was allotted to speak is anything to go by, with much of that swallowed up by the drama highlights trailer sent in by the BBC to show before she was interviewed. Minute after minute flashed by as every memorable moment from Jane's eight-year reign atop the BBC drama mountain was shown with clips of drama going all the way back to 2001's The Way We Live Now.
