Road users are advised that the A725 southbound at the Raith Underpass will be closed overnight from 8pm to 6am, on Monday, October 12.
This closure has been scheduled overnight to minimise disruption to traffic and is required to ensure road user and road worker safety whilst essential road surveying works are carried out.
The road will re-open at 6am the following morning.
However, the works are weather-dependent and may be cancelled or rescheduled if conditions are not favourable. A contingency overnight closure is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, from 8pm to 6am if required.
A signed diversion will be in place as follows:
■ A725 southbound off-slip for Raith roundabout, take third exit for A725 southbound on-slip road and continue A725 southbound towards East Kilbride.
These works will be carried out by Scottish Road Partnership on behalf of Transport Scotland to maintain the integrity and safety of this route and have been planned in consultation with Transport Scotland, Traffic Scotland and the emergency services.
