Transport police release pictures in connection with train station blaze

British Transport Police (BTP) have released images of a man they are looking to speak to in connection with a blaze at Thorntonhall train station.

A platform bin and fencing of a neighbouring residential property caught fire between between 7.30 and 8pm on Saturday, May 29.

Officers believe that the male shown in the images, who was in the area at the time, may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would urge him or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

The man is described as between mid 20s to early 30s, of average height, medium build and with a shaven head. He was wearing a black Nike hooded zipper with a red Nike log, black cargo bottoms, a pair of black Adidas trainers and a black Adidas backpack.

British Transport Police can be contacted on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 2100038449.
